The Ukrainian government says it is preparing for a top-level meeting with the U.S. side shortly after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.
A spokesperson for Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said today (10th) that President Zelenskyy and President-elect Trump may hold a summit.
Earlier, President Zelenskyy said he hopes to meet soon after Trump's inauguration, adding that he is the right person to end the war given Trump's power and unprecedented influence.
He also said Trump could talk to Russia afterwards if he proposed strong security guarantees to Ukraine.
