Acting President Choi Sang-mok reaffirmed the existing government's position, saying that if the medical community returns to dialogue with the government, it will be possible to flexibly discuss the size of next year's medical school quota expansion at zero base.

Related ministries, such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Military Manpower Administration, centered on the Deputy Prime Minister of Social Affairs, should actively consider related measures so that teachers and medical students in their majors can return. The government once again proposes the medical community to participate in the conversation. If the medical community participates in the conversation and discusses it, the government will be able to flexibly discuss the scale of expanding the number of medical schools in 26 years at zero base. Along with the supply and demand forecast, we will take into account the fact that the majority of students were not able to participate in the 24-year class and the field education conditions of each school.
