Chairman Kwon said in a phone call with YTN that while discussions on the special prosecution are underway in both parties, it is not right to conduct bloodshed between public authorities due to excessive execution of warrants.
He then appealed for restraint, saying that if the confrontation between the execution of the arrest warrant continues, President Yoon will be able to attend the first hearing of the impeachment trial by the Constitutional Court scheduled for the 14th.
Regarding the possibility of reaching an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties on the special prosecution law on the emergency martial law, Chairman Kwon stressed the need for further consultation, saying that our stance on the special prosecution law should be decided first, but it can be seen that we have taken a step further.
He also said that there is still a lot of negative public opinion about the special prosecutor in the party, and that the general meeting of lawmakers will be held on the 13th, so we need to discuss what the conclusion will be.
