It's the weekend. All the impeachment and anti-impeachment rallies...a heightened tension in the city center

It's the first weekend since President Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest warrant was reissued.

As there were observations that the execution of the second arrest warrant was imminent, there were tensions near the official residence and throughout downtown Seoul even in the cold weather.

Gwanghwamun split again on the weekend, the first weekend after President Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest warrant was reissued.

Pro-impeachment participants gathered near the same house called for President Yoon's immediate resignation.

Even though I was tired of the prolonged impeachment, I went to rallies every week to support each other.

[Koo Jae-hee / Dobong-gu, Seoul: I'm a little tired because I come out every week, but I have to come out and cheer up....]

{President Yoon's supporters also held a large-scale counterattack near Gwanghwamun, and responded, saying impeachment was invalid.

[President Yoon's supporters: "Impeachment nullified! Invalid impeachment!"]

Despite the weather staying below zero all day, impeachment and anti-impeachment rallies continued day after day near the presidential residence.

Participants were heavily armed with thick coats as well as foil blankets to withstand the cold.

There were calls for the immediate arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol, and supporters of President Yoon argued that impeachment was invalid.

As such, a series of rallies were held throughout downtown Seoul, and traffic in Jongno and Yongsan in Seoul was also congested throughout the day.Amid speculation that the execution of the second arrest warrant for President

Yoon is imminent, tensions in the city are also rising due to the day-to-day pro- and anti-impeachment rallies.
