Some predict that the ruling and opposition parties will eventually reach an agreement as the "Civil War Special Counsel Act" for the investigation of martial law was rejected by only two votes in favor of 200 votes to neutralize the government's right to demand reconsideration.

However, it is a variable that the arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol's president once failed and the unity between the camps has become stronger.

Reporter Na Hye-in analyzed it.

The argument that the opposition should not monopolize the right to recommend the independent counsel has been a key justification for the ruling party to reject the independent counsel law.

The Democratic Party of Korea immediately brought up a proposal to recommend the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for this purpose when the "Incivil War Special Counsel Act" was abolished after a re-vote, but the people's power did not back down.

This time, he took issue with the widening of the investigation, including foreign exchange allegations that he induced North Korea's provocations to build up the cause of martial law.

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader (10th): We are continuing our goal of destroying conservatives. It's just a box grinding special prosecutor's law that only changed the packaging.

He said he would come up with his own independent counsel law against opposition pressure, but it is unclear whether it will speed up due to the "unavoidance of special prosecutors" within the ruling party.

In particular, there are many concerns that the investigation of the special prosecutor on the manipulation of state affairs during the Park Geun Hye government will repeat the path that spread to the conservative camp.

[Jang Dong-hyuk / National People's Power (10th): If you take all cases to the special prosecution just because you don't like them, the judicial system will eventually collapse. Why did you make the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit so evil?]

The Democratic Party has already made enough concessions to make concessions.

Some in the party pointed out that if they want to launch a real special prosecutor, they should prepare more cards to appease the ruling party, but the leadership is still in a strong mood.

As the re-voting confirmed 198 votes in favor of blocking the veto, the government should push ahead with legislation based on public opinion hoping to punish those responsible for martial law.

[Kim Min-seok / Supreme Council member of the main opposition Minjoo Party (10th): Let's start preparing to pass the independent counsel for rebellion, leaving the arrest to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police, and the dismissal to the Constitutional Court. There's no justification for opposition now, is there?]

However, it is worrisome that the gathering of the ruling camp could be stronger in that case.

Critics also criticized President Yoon for giving an excuse for the conservative camp to rally after only waging a public opinion war against him for refusing to comply with the forced investigation.

[Jeong Seong-ho / Democratic Party member (10th): Even if the president committed a serious violation of the Constitution, we should try to have an active dialogue with the ruling party in the process of resolving such issues.]

If the independent counsel is in operation, the investigation could continue not only to the impeachment trial of President Yoon but also to the early presidential election phase that may become a reality.

Some predict that it will be difficult for the ruling and opposition parties to easily come up with a compromise if it spreads to a "campaign dispute" rather than a fact-finding mission.
