Amid the imminent execution of the second arrest warrant for Yoon Suk Yeol's president, there is a fierce war of nerves in politics over the revision of each party's "special prosecutor for civil war."
While the power of the people prepares to propose their own amendments, Democrats have criticized it as nothing more than a tactic to delay the conviction.
Let's connect with the National Assembly reporter to find out more.
Reporter Kang Min-kyung, the People's Power will hold a general meeting of lawmakers this week to discuss the amendment of the Special Counsel Act?
[Reporter]
Yes, the People's Power is expected to hold a general meeting of lawmakers as early as tomorrow (13th) and start discussing its own independent counsel bill, which is called the "Gyeom Special Prosecutor Act."
The plan is to create a negotiation plan by focusing about six hours from the declaration of emergency martial law to the lifting of the bill, and deleting the "foreign exchange crimes" included in the opposition special counsel law.
Originally, there was more skepticism within the ruling party about the independent counsel's proposal, but the voice that it cannot continue to be dragged by the opposition's attack on the independent counsel seems to be gaining strength.
In addition, acting President Choi Sang-mok emphasized the "∀ Agreement between the ruling and opposition parties" before executing the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.It seems that only after negotiating with the Democratic Party over the
Special Prosecutor Act, negative public opinion can be softened to some extent.
It is in the same vein that a ruling party official who spoke to YTN pointed out that the party is continuing to propose arbitration plans, and that an investigative agency's excessive attempt to execute an arrest warrant will lead to a division of public opinion.
However, it is still difficult to give a definite answer whether the proposal of the independent counsel law will actually take place.
Some analysts say that it will not be easy to overcome internal opposition over the special prosecution as some lawmakers of the ruling party seem to be expanding their contact with strong supporters.

The Democratic Party of Korea is negative about the ruling party's amendment, right?
[Reporter]
That's right. Hwang Jung-ah, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the people's power for using a strategy to delay the conviction of rebellion by adding more conditions to the conditions.
In particular, he said that he would run the special prosecutor for six hours immediately after martial law, saying, "Doesn't he mean that he won't run a special prosecutor for a rebellion?" and pointed out that the people's power is actually a "collusion accomplice."
The Democratic Party of Korea also claimed that President Yoon tried to create a cause for emergency martial law by attracting foreign exchange by inducing North Korea's provocation of the NLL and planning to strike it from the ground up at a press conference held by the Special Committee on Insurrection of Foreign Exchange Attraction.
At the same time, he stressed that it is essential to add foreign exchange attraction charges when investigating the full extent of the emergency martial law declaration.
In this way, the Democratic Party of Korea is drawing a line on the six-hour investigation immediately after martial law, which is discussed in the power of the people, and calls for the removal of foreign exchange attraction charges.
In addition, the opposition party is sticking to its position that it will deal with the revised independent counsel law, which includes the third recommendation, at the plenary session on the 14th and 16th at the latest.
Of course, as the final passage of the Special Prosecutor Act is more important, the Democratic Party of Korea has not closed the room for negotiation with the people's power at all.
Even if the people's power proposes the revised special prosecution law, the Democratic Party is likely not to accept it, so even if it goes into negotiations later, severe labor is expected.
