Ahn Se-young wins first tournament of the New Year in Malaysia Open

Badminton world No. 1 Ahn Se-young won her first women's singles competition of the new year.

In the final of the World Tour's Super 1000 Malaysia Open, Ahn beat China's Wang Zhiyi, the world's second-ranked player, in a 2-0 victory in 45 minutes to win her second consecutive tournament.

Ahn, who won the Chinese Masters in November after last year's Paris Olympics, confirmed her world ranking again in seven weeks.

Against China's Wang Zhiyi, he recently managed to avenge himself cleanly after two losses.
