Police have reportedly requested an arrest warrant for Kim Sung-hoon, deputy chief of the security service, who is accused of obstructing the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.
When Deputy Chief Kim did not respond to all three summonses, he decided to launch a forced investigation.
If a warrant is issued for Deputy Chief Kim, it is expected that the execution of the warrant against Deputy Chief Kim will be carried out first during the second attempt to arrest President Yoon.
Analysts say that it will be difficult for the security service to prevent Deputy Chief Kim's arrest as the security targets of the security service are limited to the president and his family.
Deputy Chief Kim, who became the number one bodyguard officer when former Chief of Security Park Jong-joon stepped down from his position, is a former official of the bodyguard and is classified as a heavyweight and hardliner in the organization. As Deputy Chief Kim is known to lead the arrest of President
Yoon, if the police secure Deputy Chief Kim's whereabouts, the defense front of the official residence could also be cracked.
Amid the imminent deadline for the third summons of Lee Kwang-woo, who is called a hardliner along with Deputy Chief Kim,
The police also notified Kim Shin, the head of the family, to appear as a suspect by 10 a.m. on the 14th.
The hardliners are holding out because they are absent, but some command have responded to police summonses and submitted mobile phones themselves.
Park Jong-joon, the former chief of security who was investigated twice earlier, voluntarily submitted his mobile phone.
Amid the observation of signs of a crack in the command, the agitation of front-line employees is also growing.
As such, it is predicted that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police will focus more on shaking the command of the security office in order to make the arrest of President Yoon without physical conflict.
