L.A. County officials said 24 people were killed in the fire as of 5 p.m. local time on the 12th.
Eight of the dead were found in the Felise area and 16 in the Eton area.
At the same time, another 16 people remain missing.
In the meantime, strong winds are predicted in the area, raising concerns that fires could spread.
The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a red alert and predicted gusts of wind until the 15th regarding fire conditions.
