The special investigation headquarters of the prosecution's emergency martial law did not permit the suspension of the arrest submitted by Commissioner Cho on the 7th.
Director Cho, who suffers from blood cancer, asked last month to "suspension of arrest so that he can receive hospital treatment."
Commissioner Cho blocked the outskirts of the National Assembly by mobilizing a police task force under the direction of President Yoon Suk Yeol at the time of the emergency martial law. He is accused of engaging in the formation of a major political arrest group and attempting to take out the Central Election Commission server.
The Seoul Central District Court will hold the first trial preparation date for Cho and Kim Bong-sik, former head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, at 10 a.m. on the 6th of next month.
