Gwangju Mayor Bang Se-hwan held a New Year's press conference and said he will make a leap into a global eco-friendly city by creating eco-friendly infrastructure and strengthening environmental cooperation systems.

Mayor Bang said he will focus on sustainable development by focusing on eco-friendly policies such as restoring ecological rivers, using this year as the first year of realizing a "green city where three generations are happy" despite the climate crisis and economic difficulties.

Mayor Bang added that he will work as a co-representative of the "Han River Love Forum" with cities and counties in the Han River basin, and realize balanced regional development and environmental preservation along with deregulation in the metropolitan area.
