Regarding the recent claim that an executive who asked Deputy Chief Kim Sung-hoon to resign was on standby, the Presidential Security Service explained that it was not because of the demand for resignation, but because of the alleged leakage of confidential information.

The security agency issued a notice today and said the person is suspected of leaking confidential information through various external channels, including the fact that he recently met with two officials from the National Assembly and delivered internal information such as the location of major military facilities.

He stressed that it was not a disadvantage or personnel measure for remarks made in the communication process, such as free expression of opinions during major executive meetings, saying that it was a personnel measure to follow up measures such as violations of the National Public Officials Act.

The security agency said it violated various laws, such as exchanging confidential information and posed a fatal risk to the president's security measures, adding that it will be held accountable through legal action.
