North Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Young-hwan said, "It is clearly wrong to put police in the arrest of the incumbent president of the illegal airlift."

Governor Kim said on social media, "This will be a history that cannot be washed away by the police's dark history and police honor later."

Governor Kim said, "Why should you be the best man in arresting the President of the Republic of Korea after being entrusted with the right to investigate the people from gangs and drugs?" and added, "After this time, dawn will come, so I hope you become an unashamed police officer."

In response, the Democratic Party of Korea and the North Chungcheong Provincial Party criticized, saying, "It is a ridiculous behavior to defend the rebellion and not to arrest the police," adding, "We put a nail in the chest of the residents with the writings of wooden Buddhist dogs."
