NEUJINS READER: Please block the advertising contract...Odor files a provisional injunction with the court

ADOR has filed a petition with the Seoul Central District Court against the members of Newzins for "a provisional injunction to preserve the status of an agency and to prohibit the conclusion of advertising contracts." The application for provisional injunction is reportedly aimed at maintaining its status as a management company under an exclusive contract until the first trial ruling on Dec. 3 last year, which was filed by Adore.

Later today (13th), Odor announced the application for provisional injunction through its official position and said, "The decision is aimed at preventing confusion and damage to advertisers and industries that may occur as Newzins members attempt their own advertising contracts and activities."

Previously, the members of New Jeans unilaterally declared the termination of their exclusive contract with Adore through an emergency press conference and took steps to continue their independent activities. In response, Odor explained, "We will confirm through the main lawsuit that the members' claims are unfair," adding, "It could take time to make a final ruling, so we had no choice but to apply for a provisional injunction to prevent the current confusion."

Additionally, Odor emphasized that the move is an expression of his willingness to continue his activities with Newzins. "If the current market turmoil continues, not only will Newzins' brand value decline, but it will also lose its competitiveness as an agency due to the loss of its only artist," Adore said. "We are concerned that it could be an irreparable situation even if the original ruling is made that the exclusive contract is valid in a few years."

"For Newgens, we also need an opportunity to correct wrong judgments and actions before legal responsibility is expanded," Odor said in a provisional injunction application. "If Newzins continues its own entertainment activities and fails to control them, it will have a negative impact on the entertainment industry as a whole and the foundation of the K-pop market could be shaken," he said.

Adore maintained that the exclusive contract with Newzins remains valid and stressed that it remains providing support for Newzins' activities. "We have planned and completed our activities, including the release of our regular album and fan meetings," Adore said. "We want to continue our activities by fully communicating with the members of Newzins."
