The Civil Agreement Department 21 of the Seoul Eastern District Court rejected an application for a provisional injunction to suspend the election filed by Kang Shin-wook and others against the sports association.
They raised the issue that there was a problem with the composition and procedure of the electorate, and that election times and places violated the right to vote, but the court refused to accept it.
As a result, 2,244 electors will vote for two and a half hours from 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (14th) at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park, following the announcement of the candidates' opinions.
The election will be held as a "six-way race" between Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Sports Council, Kim Yong-joo, former secretary-general of the Gangwon Provincial Sports Council, Yoo Seung Min, former president of the Korea Table Tennis Association, Kang Tae-sun, former president of the Seoul Sports Council, Oh Joo-young, former president of the Korea Sepak Takraw Association, and Kang Shin-wook, professor of Dankook University.
