Regarding the retrial of Kim Shin-hye, who was acquitted of the murder of her biological father, the prosecution said it filed an appeal, saying that the ruling had a misunderstanding of facts and legal principles.

The Haenam branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutor's Office stressed that Kim's confession to his family and investigative agencies that he "killed his father by putting sleeping pills on alcohol" was recognized for its randomness and credibility, and the Supreme Court confirmed his life imprisonment.

At the same time, it was decided that it was necessary to fight again at the retrial appeal against the possibility of Kim's false confession and whether the confiscated material was illegally collected.
