A building found alone in good condition has become a hot topic as a large wildfire that hit Los Angeles (LA) in California has turned everywhere into ashes.

According to a New York Post report, about 12,000 structures along the coastline were burned in Malibu, LA, as wildfires on the western beaches spread inland.

Among them, only one three-story white house remained intact among the neighboring houses that were completely collapsed or only the frame was left, drawing attention.

The house is owned by David Steiner, a lawyer and former CEO of waste management company Waste Management. Steiner is said to have not been in the house at the time of the fire.

He stressed that the reason why his house could not be stopped even in the fire was because of the "fireproof design using concrete." "It is a house built with a strong structure to withstand not only fires but also earthquakes," he said with confidence.Fireproofing materials were used on the roof of the

building, and a 15-meter-deep foundation in the rock was also established to withstand strong waves.

He also explained, "I built the house with the forest fire in mind from the beginning," adding, "I used high-end fire prevention materials, and I planted a type that does not burn well in the surrounding plants."
