Kwon Young-se, the emergency committee chairman of the People's Power, met with Christian leaders and apologized for making it difficult for the people to face the December 3 emergency martial law and impeachment.

Chairman Kwon made the announcement at the Korea Christian Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where he paid a visit to Kim Jong-hyuk, the president of the Korean Federation of Churches, and Kim Jong-saeng, the general secretary of the Korea Christian Church Council, saying, "As a politician, I am sorry for the political turmoil."

He then said that the government and the ruling party should be responsible and criticized, but the opposition party with an absolute majority of seats should also be scolded so that the ruling and opposition parties can work with a balanced perspective.

Chairman Kwon pointed out that the recent poll showed that the ruling party's approval rating has risen because there are many people who say that it is not because we are good, and that we need to do better and work hard to become the approval rating we have created.
