Acting President Choi Sang-mok met with the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties at the National Assembly for the first time since his acting position.
At both meetings, acting president Choi Sang-mok asked for cooperation in the National Assembly, saying there should be no physical conflict in the process of executing the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.
At the same time, he urged the ruling and opposition parties to come up with an independent counsel law that is not unconstitutional as soon as possible.

If the special prosecution law is established, the confrontation between the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the Security Service is expected to decrease as the investigation power will be reorganized around the special prosecution.
However, the power of the people was still the opposite, saying that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit was unreasonable in execution of warrants, and the Democratic Party of Korea said that the security agency was unreasonable in resistance.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok released the order to the National Police Agency and the Security Agency through the media, stressing that violent means and methods should never be used in executing arrest warrants, and that all law enforcement should be done in a peaceful and restrained manner.
He warned that a conflict would leave an indelible wound in the constitutional history, but he also indicated that he would not intervene directly, saying that the two agencies should fully consult for this purpose.
Between the external view pointing to political uncertainty and the domestic political situation calling for a decision, the existing stance calling for the parties to compromise is expected to continue in the future.
