Police have not sent a case in eight months in which Lee Hwa-young, a former deputy governor of peace in Gyeonggi Province, filed a complaint against a prosecution official in connection with the "suspicious conciliation of alcohol."

The anti-corruption and economic crime investigation team of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency decided not to send four people, including officials from the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office and the head of the Suwon Detention Center, who were accused of violating the Personal Information Protection Act last week.

The police judged that the former deputy governor Lee's name was personal information, but the prosecution's disclosure of it was an inevitable justification to resolve the suspicion of conciliation of drinking alcohol.

In addition, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office decided not to send the case, which was accused of bringing liquor into the prosecution office, on the grounds that there were no punishment regulations and evidence.

Earlier last year, the prosecution refuted the suspicion of conciliation of drinking alcohol and released the former deputy governor Lee's attendance diary and escort plan.

Former lieutenant governor Lee filed a complaint with the police against the head of the Suwon Detention Center, saying sensitive personal information such as names and crimes was written here.
