Police raid Gangwon-do councilor for 'involving mayor's electronic display contract'

Police have launched a forced investigation into a member of the Gangwon Provincial Council who is suspected of being involved in the construction process of installing electronic boards in traditional markets.

The Gangwon Police Agency sent an investigator to Wonju City Hall and the company's office yesterday (13th) morning to conduct a search and seizure.

Gangwon-do councilor A is said to have been accused of being involved in a specific company winning a private contract during the construction of an electronic display board in Wonju Central Market in September last year.

The police are investigating further based on the data obtained by A's mobile phone.
