The Joint Chiefs of Staff said it detected several suspected short-range ballistic missiles fired into the East Sea from the Ganggyeong area of Jagang Province, North Korea, at around 9:30 a.m. today.
At the same time, he explained that he is strengthening surveillance and alertness in preparation for further North Korean launches.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff also added that they are closely sharing relevant information with the U.S. and Japan and are fully prepared.
North Korea previously launched an intermediate-range hypersonic solid-fuel ballistic missile on the 6th.
