SM Entertainment will release a commemorative album covering the past 30 years.
On February 14, the 30th anniversary of its foundation, SM will release its commemorative album "2025 SMTOWN: THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE".
It is the first group album in two years and two months since the winter album of SMTOWN in December 2022.
The album contains a total of 17 songs, including the title song and SM's new group song "Thank You," as well as a remake of SM Legend hits that have made a mark in K-pop history by senior and junior artists.
Kangta sang "Just A Feeling" by S.E.S., TVXQ sang "Psycho" by Red Velvet, Super Junior sang "I Pray 4 U" by SHINHWA, Girls' Generation sang "passion" by Cheon Sang-ji-hee the Grace, and EXO sang "fighting" by H.O.T.
SM's No. 1 singer Hyun Jin-young's "My Love in the Cloudy Memory" was remade by NCT 127, and the late Jonghyun's solo song "The End of the Day" was also included as BoA's version, adding meaning.
In addition, a rising version of TVXQ's "Hug," which recently drew attention, was also included, and SM's first virtual singer Naivis also participated in the album by remaking BoA's song.
Earlier on the 11th and 12th, SM held a concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of SMTOWN LIVE 2025 and met with fans.
