The judiciary will finish setting standards for crimes that did not have sentencing standards, such as animal abuse and sexual crimes against guardians.

The Supreme Court's sentencing committee held its 136th meeting yesterday (13th) and voted to draft sentencing standards for sex crimes, fraud, violations of the Electronic Financial Transactions Act and the Animal Protection Act.

First, the sentencing committee has newly established some types of sentencing standards that have previously been vacant among sex crimes.

Accordingly, it recommends up to two years in prison for harassment crimes that occur on public transportation or in concert halls.

In addition, sexual crimes that occur in the workplace or in the protection and supervision relationship such as adults and minors are recommended for up to two years in prison for harassment and up to two and a half years in prison for adultery.

In addition, if the animal is killed, the basic sentence will be four months to one year in prison or a fine of 3 million won to 12 million won.

In addition, if you cause pain or injury to an animal, it is recommended as a basic sentence of 2 to 10 months in prison or a fine of 1 million won to 10 million won.

The sentencing committee will hold a public hearing on the sentencing standards on the 17th of next month and finalize the new sentencing standards at a general meeting on March 24.
