Wonkwang University of North Jeolla Province Raises Tuition by 4.85% For the First Time in 16 Years

Wonkwang University in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, will raise tuition by 4.85% for the first time in 16 years.

Based on last year's average tuition fee of 7.5 million won for Wonkwang University, which was disclosed in the university notification, the number of students is expected to be about 7,864,000 won this year.

Wonkwang University originally planned to raise tuition by 5.1%, but after holding the tuition review committee until the 7th session due to student opposition, it decided to raise it by 4.85%.

Wonkwang has effectively frozen tuition for 15 years, including three cuts since freezing tuition from 2009 to 2021.
