Military officials gave mixed testimony about whether there was a martial law commander's order to "identify additional personnel available" after the lifting of the emergency martial law was approved by the National Assembly.

Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo, the martial law commander at the time, replied that he had never ordered to identify additional personnel through the National Assembly's National Defense Command at 2 a.m. on the 4th of last month.

But when asked if he had been instructed by the martial law commander to identify additional reinforcements, the chief of operations said he had been instructed to identify the number of personnel available to be dispatched.
