Acting President Choi Sang-mok presided over a meeting on major pending issues in the field of public administration and safety and legal affairs at the Seoul Government Complex today and asked related agencies to make every effort to secure public safety.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok said, "The government's basic responsibility is to protect and secure people from crimes and disasters," and asked related agencies to work as a team and do their best to find solutions to restore the people's peaceful daily lives.

In particular, all government agencies are asked to manage the situation 24 hours a day, share information, and thoroughly respond to incidents so that the people can rest fully without anxiety during the Lunar New Year holiday.

In addition, he urged the government to proceed smoothly with digital innovation such as AI transformation in the public sector, prevent the spread of illegal harmful information, and protect users from the dysfunction of technology development.

Acting Minister Choi called for each ministry minister to hold a press briefing once a month so that the public can accurately know the core tasks of the ministry.
