The "Special Committee for Investigating the Facts of the December 29 Airplane Disaster and Relief for Victims and Their Families" will hold its first meeting on the 16th to discuss the cause of the Jeju Air plane disaster.

Kwon Young-jin, a member of the People's Power who chaired the special committee, explained that he will complete the formation of committees and subcommittees and the appointment of secretaries from the ruling and opposition parties at the first meeting.

Kim Eun-hye, a member of the People's Power, will be the secretary of the ruling party, and Lee Soo-jin of the Democratic Party will be the secretary of the opposition party.

The special committee, which is scheduled to be active until June 30, will discuss ways to prevent recurrence of the plane disaster at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do and support damage.
