It has been about five months since the National Assembly voted to impeach Chairman Lee.
The Constitutional Court said Lee wanted a quick trial from the beginning, but the Constitutional Law, which requires more than seven judges to attend, became an obstacle and said it would be sentenced as soon as possible.
This date was held in the order of the general opinion of the National Assembly and Chairman Lee's final statement,
In the process, the National Assembly argued that the two-member system of the Korea Communications Commission was illegal and that the protection of the people's freedom and rights should be confirmed by controlling abuse of power through an impeachment trial.
On the other hand, Chairman Lee criticized that what the Democratic Party wanted was that the Korea Communications Commission would be paralyzed rather than working normally.
Chairman Lee, who took office in July last year due to the appointment of Yoon Suk Yeol's president, voted with Vice Chairman Kim Tae-kyu on the appointment of a director of the MBC Broadcasting Culture Promotion Association under a "two-person system."
In response, the National Assembly protested that the two-member Korea Communications Commission's decision violated the Korea Communications Commission law, and voted on Chairman Lee's impeachment at the plenary session of the National Assembly in August last year.
