House prices across the country turned downward for the first time in seven months last month.

According to the monthly housing price trend released by the Korea Real Estate Agency today, house prices nationwide fell 0.07% last month from the previous month.

National house prices remain elevated for six months after turning upward in June last year. It turned downward last month.

Apartment sales prices nationwide also recorded minus 0.11% last month compared to the previous month, showing a decline for the first time in seven months.

Apartment prices in the Seoul metropolitan and provincial areas fell 0.02 percent and 0.21 percent, respectively, while Seoul barely maintained its upward trajectory at 0.09 percent.

Jeonse prices for homes across the country rose 0.01 percent last month, while Seoul and the Seoul metropolitan area saw gains of 0.02 percent and 0.03 percent, respectively, while provinces posted a decline of 0.01 percent.
