Incheon City appointed Hong Il-pyo, a former member of the National Assembly, as an ambassador for the climate and environment.

Former lawmaker Hong was a judge, served as a member of the 18th, 19th, and 20th National Assembly in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, and also served as a representative member of the 2016-2020 National Assembly Climate Change Forum.

In addition, the Incheon Metropolitan Government has also appointed eight new senior and special advisors.

Bong Sung-beom, former head of the Central Cooperation Headquarters, Kang Sung-ok, former spokesperson, and Ji Seok-kyu, former special media advisor for Jeju Island, Park Ok-jin, former special cultural and artistic advisor, and Park Se-hoon, former special public relations adviser, were appointed as senior presidential secretary for social affairs, respectively.

In addition, Kim Kyu-ha, commander of the personnel command at the Army Headquarters, Byun Joo-young, former deputy director of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Yang Do-sik, former general planner of Daegu City, were appointed as special security adviser.
