The Cheongju District Court sentenced A in his 40s to 20 years in prison for setting fire to an inn and killing three guests.

The court said the defendant committed the crime even though he knew the victims in his lodging would die and did not take any relief measures.

Mr. A was put on trial in September last year on charges of setting fire to kill three guests when he was evicted from an inn in Namjoo-dong, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do.
