Cho Tae-yong, the head of the National Intelligence Service, denied allegations that President Yoon Suk Yeol mentioned "emergency powers" at the dinner party late last year and early last year were not true.

Chairman Cho responded to a related question from Rep. Park Sun-won of the Democratic Party of Korea in an institutional report of a special committee on the National Assembly's alleged rebellion against the Yoon Suk Yeol government.

However, he acknowledged that he had a dinner with President Yoon, National Security Office chief Shin Won-sik, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, and former Defense Security Command commander Yeo In-hyeong, once between November and December last year and once in April last year.Director Cho's answer

runs counter to the prosecution's investigation that he secured statements to the effect that martial law-related stories were mentioned at two dinners attended by President Yoon and others.
