Kremlin "Kim Jong-un will inform you when specific information comes out from his visit to Russia"

Russia's Kremlin said it will inform North Korean leader Kim Jong-un of his preparations for his visit to Russia as soon as detailed information is available.

Asked at a briefing today (15th) if Kim's possible visit was being discussed and if he was preparing for it, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "We will inform you as soon as we have specific information on the contact that lasts at the highest level."

Earlier, President Putin visited North Korea in June last year and had a summit with Chairman Kim, and invited Chairman Kim to visit Russia.

The NIS reported to the National Assembly Intelligence Committee on the 13th that North Korea is expected to focus on securing military and economic security through additional Russian weapons support and dispatch, while weighing Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia in the first half of this year.
