President Yoon Suk Yeol was widely known as a so-called "steel prosecutor" when he arrested two former presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak while serving as prosecutors.

But after he became president, he refused to investigate himself. For the first time in the history of an incumbent president, he has been stigmatized by arrest.

President Yoon Suk Yeol was imprinted as an image of a "steel prosecutor" to the public when he exposed allegations of external pressure during the NIS's investigation into the manipulation of comments in 2013.

After moving from one position to another due to the 'disambiguation wave', he returned to the frontline of the investigation in 2016 when he joined the special prosecution team for the manipulation of state affairs,
Immediately after the inauguration of the
Moon Jae In administration, he was promoted to the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and the head of the prosecution.

When investigating the two former presidents, Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, they summoned them publicly and put them on the photo line without exception.

However, the politician Yoon Suk Yeol's behavior was different from that of the prosecutor's days.

When he became a suspect of rebellion due to the declaration of emergency martial law, he dismissed all legal procedures requested by the investigative agency as illegal and refused.

While staying at his residence for more than a month, he also encouraged security officials and supporters to block the execution of court-issued arrest warrants.

President Yoon Suk Yeol was eventually transferred to an investigative agency after two unprecedented large-scale arrests.
