Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has claimed that Russia planned an aircraft attack.

"We have confirmed that the concern that Russia has planned air terrorism against airlines not only in Poland but around the world is valid," Tusk told a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw today (15th).

However, it did not elaborate on what kind of terrorist act it meant or the content of the information on which the judgment was based.

Earlier in July last year, parcels exploded one after another at logistics bases in Europe, including the UK, Germany, and Poland.

Then, intelligence agencies in each country suspected that Russia was trying to mount explosives on cargo planes bound for the United States, which Russia denied.

Tusk also said he would expedite the accession process, saying he would "break the deadlock on this issue" regarding Ukraine's membership in the European Union and the EU.

Poland is the president of the EU circuit in the first half of this year.
