The U.S. White House has expressed its support for the Korean people after President Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest.
Foreign media analyzed that political uncertainty in South Korea is easing and the rule of law is gaining dominance.
I'll try to connect to Washington.

[Reporter]
Yes, the U.S. government has made it clear that it supports the Korean people and that it will cooperate with the Korean government.
Asked by YTN about his position on the arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol, the White House said the U.S. firmly supports the Korean people and reaffirms the joint commitment of the U.S. and South Korea to the rule of law.
He also emphasized that he recognizes all the efforts made by Korea and its people to act in accordance with the Constitution.
At the same time, the U.S. still promises to cooperate with the South Korean government, including Acting President Choi Sang-mok,
It reaffirms the U.S. conviction in the continued strength of the South Korea-U.S. alliance and its ironclad commitment to defending South Korea, it added.
Earlier, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, the Biden administration's security commander, said in a recent press conference that he thought President Yoon's emergency martial law was shocking and wrong, and that he is now seeing it go according to the constitutional procedure.

What is the reaction of the foreign press?
[Reporter]
Foreign media are also covering the arrest of President Yoon in real-time and as major news.
The New York Times said that President Yoon was the first incumbent president to be arrested, and that the confrontation ended for now amid tensions between President Yoon's supporters and law enforcement authorities.
The Washington Post pointed out that the arrest of President Yoon deepened political instability in South Korea.
He wrote that although the situation after the impeachment of President Yoon is historic, it is only a recent example of the scandal-filled history of the Korean president.
The Wall Street Journal said South Korea was paralyzed by a leadership crisis at key moments such as Trump's inauguration next week and North Korea's missile provocations.
On the other hand, the Guardian reported that the arrest of President Yoon suggests that the uncertainty in South Korea is easing and the rule of law is becoming more prevalent.
