UK Foreign Office "South Korea is an important partner..."Continuing close cooperation"

The British government stressed that the situation in which President Yoon Suk Yeol was arrested and investigated by the Airborne Service on charges of rebellion and other charges will not affect cooperation between the Korean and British governments.

When asked by YTN reporters about their position on the arrest of President Yoon on the 15th local time, the British Foreign Ministry said this was an internal problem in South Korea.

He then reaffirmed that South Korea is an important partner of the U.K. and that he will continue to work closely with the South Korean government.
