CNN stopped what it was doing and broke the news about the arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol's president.
CNN connected a Seoul correspondent and pointed out, "President Yoon, who is in the palace, has been hiding in a fortified official residence surrounded by security teams and has been avoiding arrest for weeks."
He also reported in detail President Yoon's message that although it is an illegal investigation, he will attend to prevent bloodshed.

In an article titled "Who Investigates the South Korean President," the New York Times explained the complex law enforcement structure, saying that prosecuting a sitting president in Korean history is by no means a simple task.
The BBC also said in a live window titled "Arresting the President of Korea" that President Yoon became the first incumbent president to be arrested in the history of the Republic of Korea.
Britain's Guardian diagnosed that if the various agencies investigating President Yoon do not find a way to cooperate, there is a risk of prolonged political turmoil in Korea.
Agence France-Presse and other news agencies said, "Investigators confronted President Yoon's supporters, including ruling party lawmakers, and there was a physical conflict at one point," adding, "We broke the Hannam-dong situation in real time.
China's Xinhua News Agency said the prolonged political standoff casts a shadow over the Korean economy and could negatively affect investor confidence and consumer sentiment at home and abroad.
On China's largest portal Baidu and social media Weibo, news of President Yoon's arrest topped the real-time search term.
