The pilot project for dog access, which is being applied to some sections of Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul, will be extended until the end of June.

Cheonggyecheon Stream has a narrow sidewalk and is prohibited from entering due to concerns over safety accidents of pets, but since September 30 last year, dogs have been allowed to enter the 4.1km section of the confluence of Hwang School to Jungnangcheon Stream.

Last year, the average number of dog visitors to Cheonggyecheon Stream was 65 per day, and if you are accompanied by a dog, you must fill the leash within 1.5m long and clean the feces yourself.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it will closely observe the impact of the entry and exit of Cheonggyecheon's companion animals and collect sufficient civic opinions to manage Cheonggyecheon as a pleasant and safe Cheonggyecheon.
