Singer Ahn Shin-ae returned to the public's side with a report containing the hope and freedom she felt between Seoul and Jeju. His new album [Dear LIFE] is a follow-up to his previous series [Dear City] and contains the possibility of a newly discovered world beyond healing and comfort.

"While the previous album [Dear LIFE] depicts the process of trauma and healing, this album expresses the peace of mind gained after overcoming trauma and the beauty of the world that we found in the process."
In addition to his musical attempts, Ahn Shin-ae melted the psychological elements he had absorbed like a sponge in this album. In particular, he carried an in-depth message about the relationship between narcissists and Echoists.

"The concept of an ecoist is someone who is used by a narcissist and easily gaslit, and these people tend to blame themselves and blame themselves. But through this album, I wanted to draw a world that doesn't lose money even if I live a good life, and a world where eco-ists can win.”

The title song of Ahn's new album is "South to the West". It was inspired by Ahn Shin-ae's personal experience of traveling between Jeju Island and Seoul. Working with producer Yoo Gun-hyung, he melted his confidence in life over the exciting funk soul rhythm.

"From the first time this song was completed, I was sure it was the title song of this album. Producer Yoo Gun-hyung and CEO Psy responded that this song was the best. And this song also tells the story of my time as a solo artist, and the vocal merits are well revealed. I think it's good for my masterpiece."

Ahn Shin-ae hit a musical turning point last year when she nestled in P Nation led by Psy. He said of Psy, "When I didn't believe that I could be a popular singer, I was full of confidence and said, 'You'd better be a singer.'

"The most impressive thing to say was, 'Don't forget that music is a public good.' Even after months of working on a song, music becomes a public good the moment it is delivered to the public. It's a word that I always remember while working on music."

He also talked about producer Yoo Gun-hyung, who helped him greatly in working on this album. Ahn Shin-ae said, "I have a clear perspective and sense of what direction to go in, and I'm also a producer who has an excellent sense of communicating with the public," adding, "If it wasn't for my work with an oil producer, I would have become an artist trapped only in my own color."

Ahn Shin-ae, who visited the fence called P Nation, evaluates herself by saying, "Now I've taken my first step as a popular singer." "It's like I'm experiencing a land of dreams and fantasies," he says, recalling the time when he admired overseas pop artists as a child.

But Ahn Shin-ae doesn't show any excitement. "Singer activities are also an extension of the experience," he said, and he sees singer activities as an experience that will nourish Ahn Shin-ae's music, such as tangerine harvesting and tutoring part-time jobs experienced in Jeju Island.

"At Fujii Kaze's recent performance, the message, 'I'm trying to be better myself than before,' touched me deeply. I hope my music remains well in people's lives as a public good. And the artist named An Shin-ae is gradually moving to a better version, and I hope it can help me where I belong.”
