The National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee voted on a resolution to prevent secondary harm to victims of the Jeju Air plane disaster and their bereaved families and urge the government to take strict measures.

The resolution calls for the government and law enforcement agencies to take stern action in accordance with relevant laws, warning of spreading false information, defamation and malicious accusations against victims and their bereaved families.

Separately, the National Assembly's special committee to find out the truth of the disaster and remedy the damage held its first meeting and began official activities.

The special committee plans to attend a joint memorial ceremony at Muan Airport the day after tomorrow (18th) and then ask the government on the 6th of next month.
