In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea submitted a petition to the NHRC, saying that the National Human Rights Commission should stop defending the human rights of the suspects in the civil war and make a recommendation to relieve the people affected by the Dec. 3 declaration of emergency martial law.

The Democratic Human Rights Commission of Korea held a press conference in front of the Human Rights Commission building in Jung-gu, Seoul, and said, "We should not deliberate on the proposal to recommend the guarantee of the president's right to defend Yoon Suk Yeol submitted by Kim Yong-won and others."

He then said that the NHRC should protect the human rights of the people, not the human rights of the suspects, and that it will soon file a complaint against Kim and others.
