The leadership of the New Reform Party continued to clash over the party's planning and coordination bureau's authoritative interpretation that the dismissal of Secretary-General Kim Chul-geun and the replacement of Policy Committee Chairman Lee Ju-young were invalid based on advice from external law firms.

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, CEO Heo Eun-ah criticized that the opinion of a law firm, not a court ruling, cannot be the basis for any decision.

He then argued that the interpretation of the vote was based on the revised party constitution and party regulations at the top committee meeting on December 19 last year, and that the meeting held only verbally while the representative's right to speak was unfairly deprived was invalid.

On the other hand, floor leader Cheon Ha-ram respected the interpretation of the authority of the Secretariat and the Planning and Coordination Bureau, and refuted that the party's management would be disorderly if it did not operate the party.

Supreme Council member Lee Ki-in also said, "I know the history of the tyrant's words that are obsessed with party power," and urged the leadership to show a self-decision to resign before pulling it out by party members' hands.

With Rep. Lee Joon-seok earlier expressing his intention to push for a party recall system against Representative Heo, the signing process for the party recall system is expected to begin soon.
