The Democratic Party of Korea is in a position to discuss it once the ruling party issues a bill for the special prosecution, but it has set the deadline for negotiations until tomorrow's plenary session.

After nearly two hours of a general meeting of lawmakers, the People's Power decided to propose its own "Economic Special Prosecutor Act" in the name of all 108 lawmakers.

Floor leader Kwon Sung-dong met with reporters after the parliamentary assembly and said he would not receive a bill by the opposition special prosecutor, which is full of toxic provisions, including foreign exchange crimes, and would propose the party with only the necessary parts.

The ruling party's independent counsel bill is expected to include the Supreme Court's recommendation of three independent counsel candidates and the president's appointment, excluding charges of propaganda and instigation of foreign exchange and civil war.

At the general meeting of lawmakers, there were many negative voices about the special prosecution, saying that it was not effective when the president was arrested, but the reality that the Democratic Party's bill should be passed played a bigger role.

The special prosecution bill of the people's power will be proposed tomorrow, and the key is whether to negotiate the special prosecution law with the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party said it will start negotiations at 11 a.m. tomorrow if the ruling party issues a bill.

After meeting with National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik, floor leader Park Chan-dae said that if negotiations are not completed by the plenary session, the meeting will be adjourned and the special prosecution law passed.

Regarding the possibility of negotiations with the ruling party, he reiterated the principle that the introduction of a special prosecutor should not be delayed further with Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest.

In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea is suspicious of the ruling party's sincerity in handling the special prosecution, and there are observations that negotiations on the special prosecution law will not be easy due to the large differences between the ruling and opposition parties on each issue.

In a morning meeting, Kwon Young-se, chairman of the emergency committee, accused the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police of ignoring the investigation process and effectively causing a judicial coup.

The level of attacks on judicial risks, including the trial of the Public Official Election Act by Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, has also increased.
