Hana Foundation recommends severe disciplinary action against Hana Foundation's chairman for alleged sexual harassment in the workplace.

The Ministry of Unification has recommended severe disciplinary action against Cho Min-ho, chairman of the North Korean Refugee Foundation and the South-North Hana Foundation, who were raised over allegations of sexual harassment and disparagement of employees.

The Ministry of Unification launched an audit after suspicions were raised during last year's parliamentary audit, and after deliberation on a total of 15 cases, including additional reports, decided to recommend severe disciplinary action, including dismissal.

If the board of directors of Hana Foundation decides the level of disciplinary action based on the results of the Ministry of Unification's deliberation, the Ministry of Unification will finally take disciplinary action.

Chairman Cho, who has been working from home since the end of last year, is said to be reviewing applications for reconsideration or legal action, saying the results of the Unification Ministry's deliberation are different or distorted from the facts.
