What was covered in today's defense?

[Reporter]
Today's defense was conducted by the National Assembly stating the summary of the prosecution and President Yoon's opinion on it.

First, the National Assembly explained the reasons for the prosecution with issues such as declaring emergency rules, blocking and breaking into the National Assembly, breaking into the Central Election Commission, declaring a decree, and ordering judges to be arrested and detained.

President Yoon claimed that he violated the Constitution by declaring martial law that did not meet the requirements at all, saying that it is an "emergency martial law" to allow concentration of power similar to dictatorship in an emergency.

On the other hand, President Yoon stressed that it is a natural president's responsibility to reveal suspicions, saying that the president has received a lot of reports about fraudulent elections.

The president was forced to declare martial law because he judged it to be an emergency.President Yun

also claimed that the NEC System Security Management Company was a subsidiary of Ssangbangwool, which is suspected of sending money to North Korea.

The Constitutional Court adopted former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun as witnesses, right?

[Reporter]
Correct.

The Constitutional Court adopted former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun as a witness.

In addition, Chief of the National Police Agency Jo Ji-ho, Army Special Warfare Commander Kwak Jong-geun, Water Defense Commander Lee Jin-woo, and Yeo In-hyeong, the head of the National Army's counterintelligence command, are also called as witnesses.

Commander Kwak Jong-geun and National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho were scheduled for the 23rd, and Commander Lee Jin-woo and Commander Yeo In-hyeong were scheduled for the 4th of next month.

Then, we decided to call former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun on February 6.President

Yoon protested that former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun should designate a date sooner or at least proceed at the same time as he is a witness applied from both sides.

In response, the court said it would discuss again whether to proceed with former Minister Kim's newspaper first.

The Constitutional Court also designated the 6th, 11th, and 13th of the following month as additional dates, following the 21st and 23rd.

In particular, from the 6th of next month, we plan to speed up the referee by continuing the defense all day from 10 a.m.
