An arrest investigation is underway in which the president of Yoon Suk Yeol filed a court request for an "illegal arrest" by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

Judge So Jun-seop of the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Chamber 32 is conducting an arrest suit against President Yoon, who was arrested on charges of leading a rebellion from 5 p.m. today.

An arrest suit is a system in which the court examines whether the arrest of an investigative agency is legitimate and releases it if it is inappropriate or unfair, and the court will decide whether to cite or dismiss President Yoon's request.

On the side of the Senior Prosecutor's Office, a total of three people, including one senior prosecutor and two rank-and-file prosecutors, appeared in court, and lawyers Seok Dong-hyun, Bae Jin-han, and Kim Gye-ri attended as lawyers for President Yoon.

President Yoon, who was detained in the Seoul Detention Center, did not appear in court due to security issues.

The court is expected to decide whether to accept or reject President Yoon's claim as early as today.
