A man in his 50s who set himself on fire near the Gwacheon Government Complex in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, where the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit is located after the arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol, was found to have been stopped while attempting to set himself on fire near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Yongsan Police Station in Seoul said the man was stopped by police yesterday (15th) while trying to light his clothes with a lighter near the presidential residence at around 6 a.m.

At that time, the man reportedly told dispatched police officers and others that, unlike Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea, President Yoon was arrested and angry.

A police official explained that the man was found to have come to Seoul from Daejeon to attend the rally, and that he checked for flammable substances in the vehicle he rode, but he couldn't find them, so he sent him home.

Earlier, A set himself on fire on the lawn next to the civil parking lot of the Gwacheon Government Complex at around 8 p.m. yesterday (15th), and was taken to a hospital with third-degree burns on his whole body, but he is known to be in a critical condition.
