Pope Francis was bruised on his right arm in a fall accident at his home in Santa Marta, Vatican, on the 16th local time, the Vatican said.

"The pope fell at Santa Marta's house and bruised his right arm, but tests showed no fractures," the Vatican said in a media release. "The arm is fixed as a precaution."

The fall of the pope was the second month in a row, and on the 7th of last month, the cardinal's meeting was officiated with dark bruises on the lower right jaw and upper neck.

At the time, Matteo Bruni, the Vatican's press secretary, explained, "The pope fell while waking up in the morning and hit his chin on the table next to his bed, causing a bruise."

This year, the 88-year-old pope has drawn a clear line on rumors of health abnormalities and voluntary retirement, saying he is healthy, although his recent illness has raised concerns.
